AI FOR AUTHORS: Transform Your Writing Career

Exclusive Workshop with Brian Schwartz

"Brian's workshop "AI for Authors: Transform Your Writing Career" was a game changer for me! We dove into hands-on exercises using AI real-time to learn how AI can boost your productivity, enhance the quality of work, and for me in particular, revolutionize both my creative writing and my grant writing business." ~ Francine Errico, Certified Grant Writer and Funding Strategist

The Gist: An in-person AI workshop in SLO tailored to the needs of writers will take place at my office from 8:30am-12:30pm. Limited to 10 authors, the cost is $250 per person and includes coffee, juice, & continental breakfast.

Each day, I explore how AI can boost productivity and elevate the quality of my work. I've used AI to generate podcasts, design book covers, optimize metadata, research agents and publishers, craft marketing copy, and transcribe notes from text, audio, and video. AI gives existing content a fresh shine and uncovers previously hidden new opportunities for my work. The future for writers won't be about the words that are written, but rather how well the prompts are written to instruct AI what to write.

AI is enabling established authors to generate fresh, unique material from past works and giving first-time authors a tool to finally complete their books.

Here's an outline of what I'll be covering:

Part 1: Setting Up for Success (8:30 - 9:30 AM)

Master the fundamentals to get the most out of AI:

Part 2: Your AI-Powered Research & Editing Assistant (9:45 - 10:45 AM)

Save hours on research, fact-checking, and content refinement:

Part 3: Content Creation & Publishing Tools (11:00 AM - 12:30 PM)

Working hands-on to get you started on the following:

  1. AIS (Advance Info Sheet): A one-sheet overview of your book (or a template if you're unpublished).
  2. Book Proposal: A ‘business plan’ for your book, crucial for attracting publishers and refining your vision.
  3. Cover & Synopsis: Use AI to generate a compelling book cover mockup and back-cover copy.
  4. Marketing Plan: A roadmap uniquely tailored to your genre.
  5. Book Outline: Develop a clear, AI-assisted outline for your next project.
  6. Workbooks & Companion Guides:
    • Fiction Authors: Create fan fiction guides and companion content.
    • Nonfiction Authors: Generate checklists, quizzes, and interactive workbooks.
