In this live demonstration, I’ll build a cloud book in a matter of minutes, and deliver the first ‘app-less’ live edition directly to the attendees in real-time (to their smart phones). I'll show first hand how the updates I make are instantly available to readers.
A Web App Book
Served directly on the publisher’s own site, a PubWriter cloud book is authored, edited and made available to readers on demand without an app. The book itself becomes the web app. Cloud books can be used in conjunction with traditional eBooks and provide the author with a new source of revenue. We’ll discuss various paths to monetization and the opportunity for publishers to regain ownership of their readers from Amazon.
