Amazon 2-Factor Authentication

In 2020, Amazon began to institute a much stricter security policy which requires 2-factor authentication. It's also called a OTP (One Time Passcode). It's required anytime a new IP address is detected when accessing your account.

It requires that I enter a 6-digit code within 15 minutes of when the code is sent (to your cell phone or email).

In order for me to access your KDP account, I'll need you to be available to relay the code to me when I try to login to your account.

Since this is additional labor (that we didn't have to contend with previously), I unfortunately need to add a surcharge for my time.

Here's the process:

  1. Pay the surcharge.
  2. Book a time when you are available to relay the OTP to me and we'll need to connect by phone or text. You can also text the code to my SMS-only number at 805-323-6706. Note I am PDT, but the scheduler should recognize your timezone.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Brian
